Smart Serial Number (SSN) APP is a digital service hub por cyclists and active people. The SSN App (user interface) is based on the SSN Server (backend) of Smart Serial Number with registered office in Coimbra, Portugal.
We create digital services, experiences, and group events so that you can interact with your brand’s service. This means that SSN Digital and Social App is the user interface of (your brand) Server and that your profice information, information about your bicycles, cycling trips (if allowed by you) can be shared with (your brand).
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy has been created to explain to you how we obtain, collect, use and disclose information through your use of the App, websites and other services operated of controlled by the (your brand) Server.
This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data by SSN App within the scope of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union.
With this data protection policy, we inform you about what data we process, for what purpose we need it, how we protect it, what added value your ghetto from the data processing and how you can object to it.

The protection of personal data is key concern for us. This Privacy Policy provides information on how personal data is processed by us when you use the SSN App. This Collection, processing and use of personal data by us are governed by the applicable EU data protection regulations (GDPR).
By activating your Smart Tag, you consent to the applicability of this Privacy Policy and the data processing regulated by it. The legal basis for data processing is therefore your consent. Furthermore, data processing is lawful if the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject. Data processing is also lawful if it is necessary in offer to protect our legitimate interests or those of a third party, which may be case, for example, if the data subject is one of our customers. Furthermore, data processing is lawful if vital interests of a natural person are to be protected or if the processing is necessary for the performance of a task that s in the public interest.
Personal data
The personal data we collect includes the last name, first name, email address, gender, year of birth and country of origin of the users, as well as location data.
Purpose of Data Processing
Personal Data is used to enable the SSN App services that require registration through the App.
Your Rights
By using the App, you decide for yoursel how to deal with your privacy. In your account, you can set the level of your own privacy yourself using the options provided and decide how much visibility you want on the platform.
In particular, you have the right to obtain confirmation, free of charge, as to wether we are processing your personal data and, if so, information about the nature of the processing of your personal data. You can also restrict the processing or your personal data and have your personal data corrected, deleted, blocked or completed. You ca also revoke your consent ar any time with future effect and object at any time to the processing of your personal data.
If and to the extent the GDPR applies, you can exercise your right to data portability at any time and free of charge.
When opening a user account (hereinafter: “Account”), you muste ender your correct last name, first name, and e-mail address.
The procedure for deleting an account on SSN App is set out in the GTC.
Disclosure of Personal Data
We will not sell, disclose, or otherwise distribute your personal data to third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy of the GTC. We may share your personal data with other SSN Group companies worldwide if they consent to the processing of the data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Your personal data may also be shared with third parties (e.g. SSN Business partners, SSN retail network, insurance providers, maintenance apps) acting for or on our behalf to further process the data in accordance with the purpose(s) for which the data was originally collected or for other legally permissible purposes. These third parties have contractually agreed to only use personal information for the agreed purposes, not to disclose it to other parties except as required by law, permitted by us, or described in this Privacy Policy. Personal data may be transferred to hosting companies and web agencies that support SSN in the design, development, analysis and operation of the website. These companies use the personal data only to carry out the work describe and obliged to treat the data confidentially.
Personal data may also be disclosed to third parties, if we are required to do so by lay, court order or official regulations, or if necessarry to aid criminal or lgal investigations or other legal investigations or proceedings in Europe or abroad.
Data Security
Your personal data made available to us will be secured by technical and organisational security measures in such a way that they are inaccessible to unauthorised third parties. These security measures are continuously monitored, adapted and improved by us in line with technological and organizational developments.
Duration of Storage
The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by statutory retention obligations (depending on the applicable legal basis, these are five, then or more years) or the purpose of the respective data processing.
Newsletter
We regularly, in behalf of our clients, send newsletters to all users. These newsletters provide information particularly regarding new features of the SSN App, contributions from other SSN partners, offers from clients, events, etc.
When you register for an email newsletter, we need your email address to which the newsletter is to be sent. Any further information is voluntary and will be used to address you personally and to personalize our services as well as to clarify queries about the email address.
You may cancelled your subscription to the newsletter at any tme. Each newsletter will contain a link with which the newsletter offers can be individually adjusted of cancelled. We will promptly delete your data in connection with the sending of the newsletter.
Location Data
We collect and process location data when you actively use the App to participate in a competition or other activities offered by us or by third parties authorized by us. In order to be able to track even when blocked, we need access to your location with the ‘always” setting. We do not track the device’s location whtn the app is not in use. However, in order to provide core services offered by SSN, we need to track your device’s location while you are using the app. If you want to stop the tracking of your device’s location, you adjust this at any time in your device settings.
Cookies
Cookies are used on the platform to identify you for the duration or your visit. Every time a page is accessed, access data is stored in a log file. The data record stored in the process contains the IP address, the remote host, the time, the status, the amount of data transferred, the referrer page and the browser used (user agent).
Google Analytcs Privacy Notice
This platform user GoogleTM Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website.
